The Wellington Diwali Festival of Lights 2021 returns on Labour Weekend!

This event is proudly brought to you by Wellington City Council and produced by Communities Action Trust.

One of the most celebrated and diverse festivals in New Zealand, the Wellington Diwali Festival is scheduled on Monday, 25 October 2021 (Labour Day) at TSB and Shed 6, Queens Wharf Wellington. 

With stage performances, craft, retail stalls, exhibition, presentations, workshops and diverse authentic Indian cuisine, the Diwali festival returns with a bang to Wellington's waterfront TSB and Shed 6, Queens Wharf. 

Venue: TSB Bank Arena and Shed 6 venues 

Date: Monday, 25 October 2021 (Labour Day)

Time: 1.30pm to 9pm

HOW TO TAKE PART IN THE DIWALI FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

We need your help and participation to bring the sights, sounds and spicy tastes of India to Wellington for the whole city to enjoy!

Please read the general information sheet for more details on costs, final date to send the application forms and any other terms and conditions.

Here are some of the ways you can participate:

Food and Snack stalls (only vegetarian at Shed 6 venue)

If you wish to cook or reheat food for sale at the event you will need to apply for a food stall. 

Complete and return the below Food Stall Application form by Friday, 3 September 2021

Food stalls are very popular and we often receive more applications than we have room for at the Festival. If this happens, we will select stalls using a lottery system. 

You will be notified by Friday, 24 September 2021 if your application is successful.

Retail stalls (Non - Food stalls at TSB Bank Arena venue) 

If you wish to sell items such as arts and crafts, CDs, books, henna, or incense, please apply for a retail stall.

Complete and return a Retail Stall Application form by Friday, 3 September 2021. 

You will be notified by Friday, 24 September 2021 if your application is successful.

Performances (TSB Bank Arena venue)

We invite performers of all ages who can provide entertainment for the whole family: Dancing, music recitals, storytelling, theatre or comedy.

Performances will be scheduled on the TSB Bank Arena stage. 

We are seeking group performances only.

Please complete and return a Performance Registration form by Sunday, 12 September 2021. 

Please ensure you answer all of the questions carefully. We will be in contact to discuss all programme requirements and confirm participation by Friday, 8 October 2021.

Activity Zone - Workshops, Demonstrations, Presentations and Fun activities 

(upstairs TSB Bank Arena venue – APW Room)
