Wellington Diwali Festival of Lights 2022 returns on Sunday, 16 October 2022, Michael Fowler Centre, 3.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

At a different venue, this year's festival is smaller but will also be sweeter and vibrant.
With non-stop cultural entertainment planned for the whole family, come and sample the colours, tastes and sounds of India and South-East Asia.
The festival's vegetarian food stalls will tickle your taste buds and we may also have some pre-packed food for you to take home.
Browse through retail stalls selling Indian clothes, jewelry and colour your hands with henna at various stalls about the centre.
Children can entertain themselves and learn new skills with the Indian lantern making activities.
Be entertained with traditional, contemporary, folk, fusion performances from regional and national performers.
Celebrations will conclude with colourful fireworks display along the Waterfront from 8.45 pm (subject to weather conditions).
More activities and details to be announced over the next few weeks.
