Let's kōrero about Diwali

CATNZ along with Onehunga Community Centre kicked started the Diwali celebrations in Auckland with a kōrero on the festival of lights.

Thank you to all those who joined, especially our speakers, Vishal Surve and Raisa Infreda - for sharing your meaning of Diwali.

The kōrero revolved around the history of Diwali celebrations in New Zealand, the different spirit of celebrations in parts of India, as well as an amalgamation of that spirit in New Zealand through the Auckland Diwali Festival 2021 and the Wellington Diwali Festival.
