In 2008, CATNZ introduced the first ever Southeast Asian Night Market on behalf of Wellington City Council in partnership with Asia New Zealand Foundation.

The bi annual South East Asian Night Market events include communities from the nations of South East Asia - Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
